New Plan....
Well my last plan didn't work so well so I have turned to a new plan that I know will work for me if I stick to it, weight watchers. I went to my first meeting Wednesday night. I got on the scale and wanted to fall through the floor. I knew that was about what I weighed, give or take a pound or so, but seeing it there and having it written down in my weekly tracker cemented the fact that I really do need to be on a weight loss plan, not only for the wedding but for my happiness in general. I have really stuck with it and lost 3 pounds in the past couple of days, hopefully to see a big loss next weigh in Wednesday. This weekend I am bound and determined to stay on plan even though it is a holiday weekend. I need to learn that just because it's a holiday doesn't mean I can go off plan. There are always distractions and disruptions and I can't let everyone of them be an excuse, that's why I'm in this predicament to begin with. So say a prayer and cross your fingers for me! I am dedicated, focused and determined. I think the meetings will really help keep my motiviation and determination and give me a goal each week! Here's to being at my goal weight by December...have a great holiday weekend!

Well I slacked off with the blogging but I have kept up my diet. Phoenix was a little kink in the plan, I gained a lot of water weight but it came off in a couple of days. Hopefully by next week I will see a real weight loss, that would be about par judging from my past diets. I feel so much better eating healthy which has been a motivation to keep with it. We biked Tuesday night and ran last night which really helps with the weight loss. I need to take my measurements since I feel as though my clothes are fitting much better. We did have Yogurtland last night, I had 500 calories to spare so it fit well within my calorie budget but I still felt a tad guilty. Emily's wedding weekend starts Friday, I just have to be careful and conscious about what I put in my mouth so I can see a real weight loss next week!

Day 4
Day 4 of my new wedding weight loss journey and so far, so good! I'm actually quite proud of myself for sticking to this and staying motivated. Chris tells me I am becoming obsessed which I probably am annoying to live with and hear about what I ate and how skinny I want to be all the time haha I was a little discouraged yesterday morning when I hopped on the scale. I swore to myself I wouldn't weight until at least next week because I knew I would gain weight before losing, just my body's weird way of adapting. So of course I couldn't resist and weighed yesterday and was up 2 pounds, but weighed again this morning because I figured after a day of eating super healthy and a workout that just about killed me, I would have to lose SOMETHING. I am back down to my original weight, hopefully it just goes down from here!
We are headed to Phoenix tomorrow, I'm packing my running clothes and running shoes so I can get in a couple of good runs while I am there. Also going to try to really watch what I eat and drink and not overindulge and ruin what I did this week. Would love to lose a few pounds before Emily gets married next weekend...only 9 more days to go!!!!

Hungry...
I told Chris last night it actually feels really good to be hungry and really enjoy your meal because you are actually hungry and not just eating to eat because it's dinner or lunch time. We didn't work out last night, I think the no sleep and 18 hours of driving this past weekend finally hit me yesterday. I could not keep my eyes open! We went to Souper Salad for dinner, I just had salad and 1/2 sweet potato with nothing on it. Souper Salad has never tasted so good in my life, I was starving haha I was really craving meat, I have never actually craved a chicken breast but no meat all day until dinner is quite an accomplishment for me. Today I feel much better, rested and gettingin the swing of things with the new diet plan. Had a few raw almonds, banana and couple bites of watermelon for breakfast with a hard boiled egg white, egg white, apple, tomatoes and bell pepper for lunch. I'll have a few almonds for a snack with some cherries and strawberries and then chicken or fish with veggies tonight! I made the mistake of weighing this morning and it was more than usual but I know my body is adjusting and I won't see a weight loss until end of next week, as usual for my body that likes to hang on the extra weight until it has to absolutely drop it so results will take a while but I already feel much better! Getting a good run in tonight along with the bike....ready for a good workout!

1 Day Down...
Well the first few days of any diet are always the hardest and I am 80% pleased with my success on the first day. I wasn't as great as I could have been but I have to remember this is a lifestyle change, I can't burn out and give up. Here's my food for Monday
Breakfast
Grapefruit
Coffee
Lunch
Yellow Bell Pepper
2 tomatoes
1/2 cucumber
5 strawberries
handful of cherries
Snacks
Apple and banana
Dinner
Chicken breast
black beans
whole wheat pasta
2 glasses of wine
Dessert
Greek Gods Yogurt
I shouldn't have had the wine or the pasta but what can you say when you get home and your plate is already ready and your wine is already poured? I need better self-discipline but that will come as I continue on this plan hopefully, I have to remind myself this is a lifestyle change, not a "diet". I didn't have diet coke all day yesterday which is something I have to cut out and have as a treat only. My aunt said one day she realized the majority of people who drink diet coke are overweight, never thought of it like that. There is so much sodium and it's also been said to increase your appetite so I am cutting it out for the most part.
I started the couch to 5k program last night also. I feel like I could probably run more than what the program says but I am sticking the program so I can progress like I should. Yesterday was a 20 minute run and I felt like I should do more so I rode the stationary bike for 20 minutes. Not my best workout but it was something. Tonight I won't run since you are supposed to run every other day so I will focus on the stairmaster and stationary bike.
Wish me luck today with the fruits and veggies!

I have decided to start blogging to track my weight loss for the wedding, 9 months 2 days until the BIG day!! Can't wait for February 19th but there is so much to be done before then, losing weight being key! I was inspired by my aunt this past weekend and have decided to adopt her weight loss/exercise plan which I know will be successful with hard work and dedication. I created this blog to keep me accountable and will post as much as I can with my progress or failures so stay tuned!
